This is a parallel sonnet about seeking win-win situations, instead of domination or sacrifice.
Some people try to dominate each race,
They view all others as their slaves and foes;
Amassing money, luxuries, and space,
Their greed enlarges as their money grows.
Some people sacrifice their livelihoods,
They feel impelled to give their wealth to all;
Neglecting self, they give away their goods,
Their egos swell while they act meek and small.
Some people are not either high nor low,
They feel the oneness of creation’s heart,
They benefit themselves as they bestow
Their goods and wealth on every other part.
Some take their private goods with greed and stealth,
Some proudly give themselves and all their wealth,
Some know that one for all promotes true health.
